Welcome to the opening reception on Friday 16th  4-8 pm.

The Norwegian artist Trine Eidsmo has created a digital triptych. A close to immobile transformation can be observed on three separate screens. Faces are emerging and the fading out. The speed of the ongoing process is so slow that the audience will find themselves trapped somewhere between a visual experience and an optical illusion.  The fact that the installation is a continuous process taking place on three different screens puts the observer in a very demanding position. Bringing the matter to a head one could say that an active passiveness is required.

With the work eMotions Trine is moving along the border between video art and computer based art, while simultaneously renewing the photographic image in an exciting and innovative way.

The artwork emotions is a very quiet and tranquil installation that gives a high contrast to the current phase and sound level, both in the art world and our society in general.

Trine Eidsmo is born in 1971. She has graduated from the Fontys Art Academy in Tilburg, Holland. She lives and works in Tronheim Norway were she is associated to the Trondheim Electronic Art Center (TEKS).

The exhibition is a co-operation with PNEK, Production Network for Electronic Art
in Norway
