Presented by "Eva Sjube"

ORB
is a wireless Hotspot Exhibition Space, in The Royal Gardens of Copenhagen, Denmark, an environment to use wireless internet, to facilitate art, technology and communication in the public space. For the use of the wireless system we are inviting artist from Scandinavia and around the world. ORB is the first wireless gallery under development, to take digital art from the gallery out into the public sphere. The exhibition space, with this new stategy, will be expanded to reach the general public in a way never used before, using existing communication technologies.

At the same time ORB will show art from around the globe in the public park in Copenhagen. ORB// remote website will show art existing on the internet, to trace the erratic movement of ideas from artists, theorists, critics, researchers and    scientists.

ORB will act as a open platform for collaborative projects.  Wireless internet has the advantage of being a two-way communication system to make remote interactions possible, to connect artists in different places, to do video, audio, performance or any kind of participatory work in real-time. Computer programmers are invited to develop applications for the wireless system, in a think-tank environment called T//ENNIS.
