The leisure club MOGADISHNI is pleased to announce the first solo exhibition by Rasmus Bjørn in the gallery.

Career Mode is a category in Tony Hawks' skateboard game for Playstation. Here you have the possibility to create your own player. It's up to you to decide what clothes he should wear, how his skater style should be and which board he can ride. During the game it's possible to open new passages by learning more and wilder tricks.

The exhibition “Career Mode” consists of three skateboards with helmets, an arcade of black/white Pinball-drawings and a whole lot of paintings displaying different parts of clothes. The skateboards can not be kick-flipped, but they contain character; a survey indicates the different qualities they have. For example: The marble board is marked as heavier than the spruce cone board. In the pinball arcade there are six different machines to chose from. The feature is well known, but when was the last time you played on an emergency aid flipper? These works have form but are without normal function. Instead they question matters of identity and are political as well as humorous. Especially in the paintings of articles of clothing, questions of identity are activated more extensively. The trousers are baggy, but who do they belong to?

Rasmus Bjørn has activated Career Mode. Come and play in The Leisure Club MOGADISHNI.
