One exhibition is by Christian Schmidt-Rasmussen.
Christian Schmidt-Rasmussen's new paintings are inspired by signs and advertisements from popular culture. Their vivid colour surfaces have a brash directness that stems from his unique and expressive arrangement of colour and form.

One by one the paintings represent a statement. At first glance one will   recognise an inspiration from 70's iconography, as well as Robert Indiana's well-known 60's work LOVE, but Christian Schmidt-Rasmussen use   different texts which in capsule the complexity of contemporary emotional life.

In our projectspace we show
Mirakler 3 - a collarboration project by
Lone Bank, Christina Malbek & Tanja Rau

Mirakler 3 is an installation of cardboard boxes, filled with different scenarios made out of paper and a huge paper relief on the wall.

The boxes form three large pillars from the floor to the ceiling. The pillars are each different. One is constructed like an association of thoughts with elements from one box repeated in the next. Another pillar has "pillar" as a unifying element of all the boxes, and the last pillar is more like a comic strip in its narrative expression.

The relief picks up some of the themes and pictures from the cardboard boxes. It is filled with information and narrative in crisp saturated colours, e.g. pictures of accidents, funerals, drug addicts, hospitals, fire, etc. It can be perceived as a picture of Judgement Day or as political critique of the capitalist society of today.

This exhibition is curated by Birgitte Kirkhoff Olsen
