In earlier projects I have been working with constructing functional rooms which are possible to use one way or another, such as living rooms, sleeping rooms, conference rooms or Kitchens. These rooms has been put into unexpected contexts, for example one living room are placed in the arrival tunnel to a waterpowerplant in Kristiansand, Norway and a conference room in a very run down building in Dresden.

In my latest work which were shown at Malmo art museum in January this year I worked with redesigned artefacts such as lamps, chairs, wallpaper and a kitchen table placed on podiums in different heights and sizes in an interior landscape with different possibilities for the visitors to get through.

In the project at Window space I have chosen a literal interpretation of the conditions and because of the fact that this is a window with a windowsill which one normally use to put decorations in the shape of maybe a lamp and some flowerpots, in this context I chose another direction, the starting point for me is decorations as well but in the shape of seven little to big and hand carved sparrows placed amongst pieces of carpet in a frozen scenario. The title of the work is Birds and rugs.
