In the exhibition, Julie Nord will present new colored drawings as well as
the black/white work ¯From Wonderland with Love˜ which has also been
presented at the Aarhus Art Museum in Jutland, Denmark.

In Julie Nordˆs drawings, one is introduced to a remarkable universe with
recognizable objects like helicopters and rabbit holes. But what at first
sight appears to be nice and fairytale-like detailed drawings made with
razor-sharp precision are soon revealed to be more than that. Nothing is as
it seems.

Appart from Julie Nordˆs new fantastic works she has decided to present
¯From Wonderland with Love˜ in the gallery. The work consists of 50 drawings
framed two by two. The narrative in Nordˆs drawings will be interrupted by
the way the works are presented on the wall, leaving the viewer to make his
own narration in this poetic and dream-like universe. As part of the
exhibition, the book ¯From Wonderland with Love©˜ displaying all the drawings
will be available in the gallery.

In the new drawings made by Nord she has worked with colors although she
mostly has been making black/white works before. The result is delicate, and
one can look forward to see drawings made by an artist who fully makes use
of the potential in drawing!
