When SNYK Skive Ny Kunstmuseum opens the exhibition The Exquisite Capabilities of the Flying Carpet, it offers works of art of intense strength and melancholic gentleness. After a range of exhibitions in Germany, England and USA, the young Danish painter Mie Olise exhibits at a Danish Museum of Art for the first time.

Mie Olise works in an artistic cross field between architecture, painting and art through media. The Exquisite Capabilities of the Flying Carpet expresses the magic of the transformation of an abandoned East Berlin amusement park. What happens, when time passes, things decay and the picture perfect cracks?
