From pressrelease: Charlotte Fogh Contemporary is pleased to present the exhibition Bunker with the artists Rasmus Danø, Thorgej Steen Hansen and Zven Balslev. The exhibition is the first project from the three artists’ and the common denominator is the air-raid shelter as a metaphor for a timeless room.
The three artists, will for one week, move into the gallery and produce individual and common works for the exhibition. Through this, the room will be transformed to a location specific, shelter inspired, installation, where evidence of the artists’ presence, their work and the common work process create one, superior complete art piece.
The tree artists are all educated at The Royal Danish Art Academy. Common to the artists is, that their artistic practice reaches far beyond ordinary visual picture production and that their work production from different angles circles around an apocalyptic, sub cultural and punk related universe, that builds a bridge to music, literature, popular culture and underground milieus.
